We recently upgraded from a regular coffee pot to a percolator and we're so glad we did! It really takes us back to the feeling of visiting a coffee shop.
The main difference between a coffee maker and a percolator is the way the coffee is brewed. A coffee maker typically uses a filter to keep the grinds out of the brewed coffee, whereas a percolator pushes the hot water through the grinds several times, making for a rich, flavorful cup of coffee. Percolators' also generally provide more heat to the coffee, resulting in a stronger taste.
